I'm so disappointed

that this post even needs to be written. I'm so disappointed that I'm shocked by this. I disappointed that children of candidates aren't off limits to this kind of exhibition. I am a unmitigated support of the first amendment, but this is not the issue. The first amendment exists to allow the public to have an open discourse on all subjects, even the most detestable. I respect the artist's idea and his execution. I understand that the point was to emphasize the character assassination of both candidates. My problem is with his use of the candidate's children. These are minors, less that than, they're adolescents. The permanence of attaching their name to these words is immeasurable. They haven't chosen to be a part of the public sphere. By accident of birth they are here though. I'm so disappointed by the irresponsibility of this artist.
