Overheard in the Young Adult section of Cambridge public library:

"Jeans are supposed to be comfortable. It's like they're making these skinny jeans so we can be miserable and compete in the Who's Got a Better Body Competition all at the same time! ugh."

What i wish i said back to her:

"Yes, yes they are my tween friend. You've got an advantage though, you figured it out nice and early. Where were you when I was 13? I sure could have used a voice of reason then! Keep talking like that, especially to your five BFF's sitting there with you. They're going to need it. Oh and thanks for making my Monday lunch break. You rock."
